The Great Stomp

I’m sure you all know by now that Florida is known for it’s citrus groves, but what if I would tell you that it’s also known for making some of the sweetest wines!?!?!…

Nearing the end of August we have decided to attend one of the last Grape Wine Stomps of the harvest season!

Sprawled on all 80 acres of beautiful planted vineyards in Clermont, Lakeridge Winery has been a family business for 22 yrs. now.

We were given a free tour upon arrival, were they explain you their process from harvesting, to crushing all the way to fermentation, showing you their plant, along with a divine wine tasting.

I’m not too sure if I really saw the pleasure in putting my own two feet in cold grape mush, but definitely was happy to have experienced it through the stompers themselves.

A Muscadine festival it sure was!

stomping time!

Fresh Muscadine Juice…. really!?!?!?

you see what I mean…?

& the final product!

Muscadines origin

A Lakeridge family with peace & a wave…. (overwhelmed was definitely one of the emotions I was going through lol…)
